We Must Have Smaller Government to Save America!

There is a problem we have in America and that is we have too much Government. There is so much regulation and so many taxes that the America we grew up in, that made the American Dream possible, is crumbling under the burden of excessive Government. This problem transcends both of the parties as they are both responsible for the mess that Our Country is in. This is not a problem that started recently. If you look back over the past 50 - 60 years there has been a constant and steady encroachment of Government into more aspects of our life than are necessary. To make this discussion relevant to recent history, let’s look at the past ten years. The policies of the GOP during the Bush years and the Democrats since 2006 have further bankrupted our already bankrupt country. If you REALLY look at the Economic Crisis of 2008 it was caused by excessive Government in the Free Market. Specifically, the expansion of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) made it too easy for people that couldn't afford home loans to get home loans. Many of our so-called leaders have NO CLUE how to correct our economic problems. If you look at almost all of their solutions to ANY problem, it is more and more and more Government. We CANNOT afford the Government we have now. Why any rational person would put their faith and hope an entity, such as the Federal Government, that is as wasteful, unaccountable, bloated and inefficient as our Federal Government is, is beyond my comprehension. I think one of the reason we are getting these politicians that believe in more and more Government is because we have almost as many people that are either dependent upon Government or have developed the mindset that Government Knows Best. This is a frightening position for Our Country to be in. Our Country has not achieved the Greatness that it has due to Government, it has become great because of the Freedom and Liberty that we have. Even our Freedom and Liberty is constantly being infringed upon by the Nanny State that our so-called leaders in DC are foisting upon us. That, in my opinion, is why the Tea Party has grown to the extent that it has and why the status quo people in DC and their minions are attacking the Tea Party. If the Federal Government stays on its current borrowing and spending path, in two years the Government will be pay $1 Billion dollars a day just to pay the interest on Our Federal Debt!!! Our Government DOES NOT have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem! If you are not outraged by this proposition then you are part of the problem! We MUST change the course of our Federal Government and if that means gridlock for the next two years then so be it. Our current President does not have the background, nor do his advisors, to know what to do to get our economy back on track. They have NO REAL EXPERIENCE in the world. They are academics, they have NEVER had to make a payroll, balance a budget and all they now is theoretical stuff they learned in college. Well, we deserve better and I will be voting for as many Fiscal Conservatives this year as possible. I love my children and grand children and if we don't get our Federal Debt problem resolved, without confiscating more wealth from the private sector, the American Dream will be gone for my progeny.
