Allen Matsunaga's 8th grade class for the 1961-62
Across the street from the terminal,
there is a rise of ground that now has a cross on it. While I was
there, instead of the cross, they had a large white painted anchor
and a directional sign which were both removed as soon as the Army
took full possession of the island.

Kwaj home, 1952 - 53
Home of Mr. & Mrs. Lt JG Stanley
Mott-Smith, US Navy.
Elweena, maid from Ebeye, helped at
the home. Mimi
remembers, the worst thing for us kids was having to
drink powdered milk. After leaving the Navy, Mimi's
father, Stanley, continued to work in aerospace and tech
industry in the Silicon Valley area.
